Woman, you said you wouldn't
leave the world behind. All the pieces,
you had all the pieces in a line and you were measuring
and drawing routes, bus trips back to where
you think things start. This suitcase
on the stoop, then, mustn't be yours.

Woman, you said you'd got a ticket out
and a ticket out for me, that we'd both be
over the moon by now. But you live limpid
in the city lights and I live the same nights
and between us, we can't weave enough of a day.

This white-on-white hospital light
you've brought outside with you

The Lone Musician...The lone musician plays a melody,
Its haunting tune echoing through empty space,
Down silent halls where no one will mind
This is where he can find ultimate peace,
From troubles and pain of reality
This is the time, his time to be free.

But no, he thinks, he has not been free,
Not able to break away from life's cruel melody,
He is troubled to think of reality
When now is the time to enjoy this space,
Away from that place filled with anything but peace
Thoughts of the world burn harshly in his mind.

Metal strings echo the troubled mind,
This guitar, the thing that sets his thoughts free,
He thinks, could this be the instrument to
The Pumpkin GuardThe street buckles
Pale milk lamplight rippling
                 with the invasion
It no longer holds its breath;
She no longer holds hers
Her scream beats the walls
Eyes turn on in their silent faces
      but she laughs uncaring
Clouds of intoxication pollute
        Crisp night air

A lamp post moves
Tall clown’s stilt-legs splitting
                        out to meet her
She stops screaming in response;
It stops moving nearer
Her neck hinges back
Eyes meet dark, unlit pumpkin gateways
       and she laughs foolishly
Sounds are taken away from her with
         One dull thud

The body hovers
Limp rag doll lim
Wake_up.

Broken stream of consciousnessI set my clocks,

Dissident,
Spiritually despondent,
Socially disaffected,
Sharpening to a point
An edge laid dull
Tarnished for years. (months)

it looks like a face from far off
with the bowl of stuff as the lips
the figure as the nose
and the writing as an eye with a tear
is that intentional

O__O This is genius! The lettering is brilliant and the way the person's leg stretches just creeps me out. I even love the grid. ^__^ Aah. This is the best english-class art I've ever seen.
